Tall Ships go sailing by..

Last weekend we went to Antwerp to see The Tall Ships Race, it is organised by Sail Training International. The UK based organisation is a registered charity (not-for-profit organisation) with worldwide membership and activities. Its purpose is the development and education of young people regardless of nationality, culture, religion, gender or social background through the sail training experience. Can you just imagine the adventures they must have during this race, there were boats from all over the world including Indonesia! So put on your pirate hats and join me out on the open seas... well the waterfront of Antwerp!

I've just started cutting out the pattern for a new bear, a glorious ivory white silky soft mohair with a wonderful 1930's like wave in it! I think this one could well be a girl bear. So back to work for me! See you soon, Catherine x

The tall ships are amazing aren't they. They have been on the Tyne a few times. I saw them when I was younger.
Such a team spirit amongst the young crews too.

Really beautiful photos, Catherine! Just magnificent. Thank you so much for posting them. It must have been a breathtaking sight.

I wonder if my husband is in any of your photos? LOL! What an amazing coincidence that you were both there on Sunday! He would have loved to have met you. As I mentioned, he loves your bears.

Big hugs.

can't wait for the arrival of your new little girl! You see the most amazing things where you live, those ships are something I've only ever seen in movies!I received my cards, they are every bit as charming in real life! I framed the one of bunny sitting in the tea cups for my toddlers room, each time she looks at it she cocks her head to one side, shrugs then says "o oohhh" ( that's her 'don't fall down). so cute.x
