All The Fun of The Fair

First of all wishing you a very very Happy Year full of chasing your dreams.  It has been all go the last few weeks finishing new designs.  I am so excited to share "Fun of The Fair" with you and the inspiration behind it.

Ever since I was teeny tiny I have loved horses and knew how to ride practically before I could walk!  I have always had a love hate relationship with Fairgrounds, hating the roller coaster rides but loving the Carousels!  I would feel like I was galloping along on a magical horse and loved all the art work on them.  I have quite a collection of photos of them, here are just a few that have inspired me.

Yes, I wanted to have a ride on this Carousel in Paris!

Christmas time in Antwerp

For a long time I have wanted to find the time to draw some Carousel images for my shop so when a lovely customer from the States asked me to help her again (this is her 4th Bumpkin Party) with her daughter's Birthday Party with a theme like this I jumped at the chance.

Her daughter loves Unicorns so gradually back and forth we came up with a Carousel/Maypole dancing theme with Ponies, Unicorns and all their Woodland Friends!!  Oh what fun it was to draw and imagine!  I hope it captures a magic and free spirited feel that I wish for all children, not just at their Parties.  A Print and full Party Range has evolved around this Illustration, which can all be personalised for your special Day with delightful Carousel style text.

I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into my new Range as much as I did creating it all.
You can find the full range in my shop www.bumpkin.etsy.com

I have just finished bringing to life some Valentines friends, so hop back soon to meet them!
Hugs

Catherine!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful these drawings are!!!!!!! I swear you WILL be the next Beatrice Potter! I am SO GLAD that you followed your dream and began drawing. You amaze and inspire me. I frequently think: I could have been following MY dream and drawn all o these years but I didn't. Thank you for the inspiration, Catherine. That changes TODAY. Yes, today! I did follow my muraling dream and got to do a few this year. I hope you will stop by and have a look. Sorry for being absent for so long. I believe I have gotten MUCH better at managing a schedule and I believe that I will not be absent from bloggjng in the future. So good to see your winter photos too. I love it here at your blog. Big hugs!!! Wendy :)
