Come with me back to a warm sunny October day on the cliffs of Dorset with the fresh sea air and the brightest blue sky reflecting in the clear sea. What a glorious day it was on this part of the coast called The Jurassic Coast due to all the pre-historic fossils that are discovered. Having a pic-nic on the beach and paddling along the shore, getting splashed as the water waved in and out! This wonderful archway stretching into the water is Durdle Door, if you look closely you can make out it's dragon like shape arching into the water having a drink! For the rest I'll let the photos do the talking!
I'm busy working on a new Artist Bear in the cuddliest golden Alpaca, so do come back soon. Hugs, Catherine x
I really adore your blog, your illustrations are so beautiful!
I see the dragon in the photo he is so beautiful, he must be very thirsty! And you photos are lovely. To be by the sea with such beauty must have been delightful.
I am looking forward to seeing your new Bear. Have a beauty filled day. xxxx

Such SPLENDOR! Oh, I've always wanted to see the Durdle Door... Will one day! We've not been to Dorset yet--it's on our "list" though. ;o) Thank you for this treat of photos, Catherine. I was missing England, so this was a great taste...mmm... Enjoy your bear time, and wishing you a great weekend ahead too! ((BIG HUGS))
gorgeous snaps! beautiful durdle door xx
Such a beautiful coastline! That rock reminds me of one that was on our coast too. But then the piece fell from the top so it lost it's archway! :( bit sad now it's two stumps!
A bear in golden alpaca sounds lovely Catherine!
I love alpaca - I have a White blanket in it from Hush and it's so calming.
Luv kat x
You know, hubby told me the very same thing at Durdle Door, he said it looked like a very thirsty dinosaur... with all those steps to climb up ;)) It's incredible to see the same landscapes on both our blogs at the same time! Glad you had a terrific trip!
Oh my goodness. what a marvelous destination. I feel inspired just looking at the images. I bet you had a marvelous time.
Such beautiful pictures! I love the South Coast of England.... actually I love ANY coast of England!... but usually have to settle for the coasts of NEW England! Thank you for your comment on my blog! I really love your artwork... I admire anyone who has figured out how to market the stuff they make! Your creatures are so delicately expressive... subtle lines that say so much! I will enjoy seeing what you are making!
