Our snow has now been washed away and replaced by a white sparkly layer of ice, with possibly more snow on the way again! We have got off lightly compared to many, especially in Scotland. In Antwerp they are starting to get their decorations up and I saw the huge Fir Tree arrive and being prepared to fit into it's stand! I'll be sure to take lots of photos of Christmas in the city.
Back here at home I love to keep my garden birds fed and the other day in the Snow I sat outside all wrapped up with my camera waiting for my friendly Robin to hop by for some bread! I do love this little chap, always makes me feel all Christmasy!
I also put some hot water onto the bird bath and was thrilled by little Blue Tits immediately going in to splash about, it must have been like a delightful hot tub!!
Looks nice and cosy in there!
I'm busy busy behind the scenes working on some Custom Bears so had better get back to them. See you back soon, Catherine xx

I love seeing your little feathered visitors. We have no birds like that here in the US. We have robins and titmice, but they looks so different.
Your robin is the PERFECT Christmas robin!
You've inspired me, I'm going right out to fill the bird bath with warm water!
Your little friends are so adorable and the joys they must have with you looking after them so well, it is such a delight.
Have a wonderful December day. xxx
That is a HUGE tree! Your little robins look cuter than the robins we have here.
Lovely bird photographs!
hello bumkin bear, thankyou for visiting me at bearsfootprints, it was lovely seeing you. I have just been read some of your blogs and your pic of you friendly robin was lovely. Feels more like xmas when you see the robins out.
That is a HUGE tree! I'll bet it looks beautiful once up and dressed with lights!
I love all of the bird pictures! How wonderful that the little bird loved your hot tub bird bath. :)
Have a wonderful day!
xo,
Jo :)
Awwww, ya gotta love the fuzzy feathered creatures!!! This Ozark Farm Chick feeds 'em year round and there are times smack in the middle of the throws of winter I feed up to 50lbs of black oil sunflower seed a week her on the Ponderosa.
I just adore watchin' 'em frolic around. I've had 'em land on my head while fillin' feeders and even had a little plump wren fly into my utility room while gettin' a stick of wood for the fireplace.
God bless ya'll from the cold windy hills and hollers of the Missouri Ponderosa!!! :o)
Your Christmas robin is delightful, Catherine! Just love seeing all the birds and winter wonder where you are. It's snowy & cold here...bbbrrr... Happy Weekend, my friend :o) ((HUGS))
Hello,
Love the pictures of that little bird!
Love your blog,
Hugs,

Hi dear Catherinne,
sorry I've been absent for a while! My travels in UK, the move and being sick have stolen all my spare time!;))
Your feathered friends are adorable. And glad my festive centerpieces and wreaths inspired you! Hope you will show us your decorations.
Big hugs,
Monicax.
Sorry for the typo ;)
Monicax.
It just wouldn't be the same visiting you without updates on those feathered friends. I love that you put warm water in the birdbath for them, so cute! I am looking foward to seeing that giant tree up & decorated. it's going to be amazing and have me wishing once again that we could life swap for a bit.x
love your robin pics , unfortunately we don't get robins in our yard. I'm still throwing the bread into the back lane for the gulls and pigeons though.. That tree looks huge .
Catherine- what a lovely photo of that Christmas tree- just beautiful! Good for you for feeding the birds- we do too- always worry about the birdies in the cold. We have a heater for our birdbath so they always have water.
The photos of your little robin friend are adorable.
Vicki
