In the breeze..

What a time I've been having back in England, with amazing sunshine, even a Heat Wave for weeks on end!  I spent time down on the Coast in The New Forest area, with cooling sea breezes blowing through the wild flowers and grasses.  Everyone walking by was looking out at the Sea & I think wondered what I was photographing, I just love their shapes and movement in the wind!

After long walks in the fresh air I spent relaxing afternoons in the garden sketching and painting watercolors.  Trying out new styles, just being free and painting from my heart.  I'd love this on fabric.

(Who else ends up putting their paint brush in their Cup of Tea by accident?!)

With the Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design Course I am doing I have been experimenting, gradually finding my own path way into this field, it is a fun journey so far.  There are so many amazingly talented folks on the Course, do take a peek at this Showcase of some of the designs, including this one I designed called "Garden Mischief".

Created with hand illustrations with a background of Bluebells, Hollyhocks & Grasses (told you I liked them!) and flowers from my Garden.

I have so much more to share, Thatched Cottages, Rose Gardens, wild Ponies, Inspiring Art Fairs....
so I'll be back soon :)

I love the watercolour flowers, and they really add a special touch to the drawings of the bunnies! I can't wait to see more - your visit to sunny England seems to be inspiring you! Cx

Hi Catherine! So glad you had such incredible weather for your visit. I'm excited about your watercolor florals and fabric designs. Such a wonderful and logical extension of your illustrations!
