The view from here..

What a difference a day can make, lately I have had a wonderful view from our living room of a field full of marigolds! Not quite a pumpkin field but sure brings lots of colour at this chilly time of year. Right now I can't see a thing, thick fog is filling the air out there. I thought you'd enjoy some photos of the field and a few of the horses around here in the village, I can see the heavy Brabant horse from our living room which I love. I've started a new bear which I have been looking forward to making for a while. His mohair is just such a gorgeous cosy antique brown, I decided that this bear will be such a charmer that he needed a special lady friend so last night I started on a pretty girl in such a sweet pink soft mohair. I'm looking for some vintage accents for these two, so do come back soon :) Happpyyy Hallooooooween for tomorrow :) Beary Hugs, Catherine x

What beautiful sight so late in the fall...a grand splash of color! Those horses are beautiful too. I used to be afraid of horses when I was young, having had no experience of them, they were sooo BIG--LOL! I would like to try horseback riding some day. How lovely you get to see all this from your very own living room! Have a spooky Halloween, Catherine ;o) ((HUGS))

Glorious! I've never seen a field full of marigolds before. Lovely horses too.

I can't wait to see your latest bears!

What a wonderful spot you live in Catherine! Such heart warming views. I'd be spending most of the day, transfixed by the horses!

The marigolds are incredible. Do they grow naturally? The only marigolds I've ever seen are the ones planted as annuals. I've never seen so many in one place! Lovely!

Thanks everyone, this was the first time I'd see marigolds like this too, usually there are vegetables in the field so not quite sure why they are doing this. Maybe they provide some kind of goodness to the ground, not something I've heard of before with Marigolds. Back to bear making! Hugs, Catherine x

What a view, this field is beautiful. I wonder if the flowers will be harvested, you can extract essential oil from Tagetes. x
