I was commissioned to make this special wispy white Bear by a lovely lady in America. Very sadly she lost her older brother and this Bear is to be a comforting memory of him, I must say I felt very touched to be asked to create a Bear to mean so much to someone. She named him Whisper. After all this is just what Bears are good at, hugs, unconditional love and a listening ear. He was a real challenge to make with this long faux fur!
Next I plan to create a Bear that will be available on my
website. I am also working on a range of new illustrations, so lots to share coming up. Thanks for popping by, Catherine x

He's adorable, and looks quite ready to listen to whatever needs to be said. Aren't Teddy Bears who we first tell our secrets to? It's a shame we usually forget to later in life. Wonderful job!
Very beautiful bear. What a lovely way to remember.
Aww, he's lovely
Whisper is lovely and who better to make a healing bear.
i am sorry for the lady's loss. the bear is a beautiful tribute and i am sure will bring much comfort along with her treasured memories xx
How precious and special Whisper is, dear Catherine. What a sweet tribute and darling bear. I showed David who of course melted when he saw the photo. :) Perhaps despite saying he doesn't want one, that he does after all. His birthday just past but there is always Christmas. :) Hope you are enjoying a beautiful spring day. xo – g
He's beautiful Catherine, and that memory attached gives him even more sweetness.
